Unlike traditional oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers have their core and windings not submerged in insulating oil. Instead, they rely on advanced solid insulation systems, making them safer, cleaner, and easier to maintain.

Cooling methods include:
Natural Air Cooling (AN) – Allows continuous full-load operation under rated capacity.
Forced Air Cooling (AF) – Increases output capacity by up to 50%, ideal for intermittent overload or emergency operation.
As a key component in industrial and civil power distribution systems, dry-type transformers step down medium voltage (10kV, 6kV, or 35kV) to low voltage (230/400V) for end-user applications.
